Scenario cards

Something feels off.
Everyday moments that quietly go sideways — the dishes, the phone, the silence in the car. Each card names one honestly, without blame.

The same idea behind our caregiver cards — finding words first — applied to the relationships we live inside. 119 cards help partners and families express feelings, understand needs and navigate change together, including later in life, when roles shift and families rearrange.
In development. The relationship deck is designed and in review with therapists. It isn't available to purchase yet.

“Most of us aren't having a hundred different arguments. We're having the same one, a hundred times.”
The relationship deck was built with therapists to make that loop visible — and to offer words that interrupt it. No scoring, no winners. Just a deck, a table and twenty honest minutes.

Pattern cards
20
We've been here before.
The loops people repeat: pursue and withdraw, fix and resent, keep score. Seeing the pattern is what loosens it.
Archetype cards
16
This is how I show up.
Archetypes with their inner belief, default reaction, hidden fear and growth move — language for the role you fall into under stress.
Growth cards
23
The relationship begins to shift.
Small, sayable moves — one sentence at a time — that turn a familiar argument into an actual conversation.
Intended audiences
Couples who love each other and keep landing in the same argument — including long marriages adjusting to retirement, health changes or caregiving.
Adult children, parents and siblings renegotiating roles as needs change, households combine or someone steps into care.
A structured, non-threatening prompt set for sessions and between-session reflection.

What reviewers are saying
One of the things I love about this is the sayings on the cards are often things that are very hard or challenging to say. The cards can help you say those things to improve communication between you.
For one client couple, she feels he should know what she's thinking, and he feels she should tell him what she's thinking. The game would slow them down, open them up and stop the mind reading.

We're inviting therapists and early readers to rate every scenario, pattern and growth move for relevance — and to tell us what's missing.
